Lillian started learning violin when she was 8 years old and quickly mastered the basics due to her piano experience from an early age. She has great listening and sight reading skills, is advanced in her playing ability, and is just finishing the Suzuki Book 6. She has had wonderful violin teachers for the past 5 years. Lillian performs at many recitals, church functions, and other venues. She participated in the school orchestra at Timpanogas Intermediate School in 2010 and was selected to played duet solos due to her advanced abilities. Lillian is also a member of the Utah Youth Symphony Orchestra (http://www.utahyouthsymphony.org) and played first violin for the Utah Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra (http://www.uvyso.org). since 2010 and continues to enjoy her orchestra performances and performing for others. In the future she would like to perform with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and internationally. She discovered joy of teaching violin to little children through teaching her youngest sister who does not like to practice. Lillian makes others think violin is such an easy instrument to learn when you are young. She also has a great desire to learn how to teach violin to others. She studies Suzuki method teaching materials, carefully observes her violin teacher’s private and group lessons, and has taken Suzuki Teaching Training Classes to become a trained Suzuki Violin Teacher. She was excited to open her own little violin studio. Although she is young, she has a great deal of natural ability, a burning desire to teach, and her parents’ full support (they can’t stop her anyway!).
